E-waste Defined

Any electrical or electronic equipment that's been discarded. Including working and or broken devices that are thrown in the bin or donated to charity resellers. Sometimes the items get unsold in stores and get discarded.
E-waste is particularly dangerous due to toxic chemicals that naturally leach from the metals inside when buried.

Mobile phones, computers, stereos, and copiers are common electronic products many of these products can be reused, refurbished, or recycled.
E-waste is a name for electronic devices nearing the end of their life.

What should you do with your old electronics?
Reduce- Through smart procurement and good maintenance.
Reuse- Find an organization that will take or buy your old electronics or give them to someone that needs it.
Recycle- If the devices are completely broken you can still give it to someone to use some of the parts

Practice recycling habits! Switching to refurbished tech such as mobile phones helps reduce the mining of rare materials.
